MY Big Brother is ENGAGED!!!

So my oldest brother, Josh, finally got engaged last Saturday!!
After we got back from our trip to San Antonio
we went over to the Cheesecake Factory for the 'celebration party'!
I am very happy for my brother, and I really like who he has chosen!! =)
Josh and Jennifer-and the beautiful ring!! lol
the funny thing is, Jennifer also went to GCA (where me and my brothers
went to school) and my other brother matt is married to a GCA 'sweetheart' and
of course I am married to mine as well! So now all 3 of us are married to
people from GCA! those small schools really stick together..
And its nice b/c Jennifer will fit right in=)

We were all very excited for them!!

See how gorgeous it is!? And she's a nurse, so everything is very 'flush'
so it won't get stuck on her gloves!

Everyone at lunch!

Taking pictures after lunch. That's me and my mom with Jenn and then
its Jennifer's sister, Laura and her mom.

Katie, Paul's fiance' also had her engagement ring b/c they
got engaged a few weeks ago! So they were pretty excited!

The guys were waiting for us to finish pictures inside....
Then you have the 2 engaged couples! Josh and Paul are best friends, so of
course they are engaged at the same time=) Maybe a double wedding is in the future?
I'm just kidding! We are very excited for them=)

San Antonio/Austin Trip

Before I post pics from Thanksgiving,
I need to post some other things that have been going on first!
I have just been kind of avoiding doing this,
b/c I've been trying to get so many other things done!
I don't like to sit on my computer for a long time and
blog when I have lots to do-although sometimes,
I will admit, I use it as a procrastination tool=)
Anyway, Jordan's dad got tickets to a UT game for Jordan,
him and Gabe to go to the weekend before Thanksgiving.
They invited us to go and the night before we went down
to San Antonio to the Riverwalk and had a great time!
It had been a while since I'd been to the Alamo, so I really enjoyed it!
Plus it was nice with all the studying
Jordan's been doing to just get to be with him as well.
Sitting in the courtyard at the Alamo

waiting for the guys to come back from looking at knives and stuff..

in their UT 'gear'

In front of the Alamo=) I remember our choir trip here back in 10th grade when he asked me to be his girlfriend 'again' after our 'break up' in 8th grade=) oh the memories...

guys are just so un-photogenic sometimes..=)

cute!

walking around

outside the rocky mountain choc factory!

on the riverwalk, and at the mexican rest.-yum!

The girls went to the San Marcos shopping outlets
while the guys were at the game. It was fun! I got a lot of great deals=)
It was a fun little mini-vaca!!!!

random things in november...

This blog has some random things from a few weeks ago all the way to yesterday!
First let me say I cannot believe how quickly time is flying this year!! It's November already?? what? I feel like I just made my new years resolution list like a month ago! (which by the way I hate thinking about my resolution list this late in the year b/c there's always things I totally slacked on-like reading at least one book a month!-actually I was doing it, even more than one book a month, until school started!)
anyway, 2 weeks until Thanksgiving break for me! and it is a busy busy 2 weeks!! We have our Veterans Day celebration on Wednesday where all the grade levels are performing-I'm trying to keep my brain from getting all mixed up before that day! Its so hard sometimes trying to remember all the different motions and words to songs...but I'm excited-the kids are going to do a great job! We hope a lot of Veterans will show up=) I also have 2 weeks to get the 4th graders ready for their program on Dec 8th and also the 5th graders are performing on Dec 3rd for the Grand Prairie Tree Lighting!
Ok, enough of that, its making me stressed again to think of it.

Here are the few pictures from my choir concert (Arlington Master Chorale) in October

There's me singing my heart out!

My mom took my picture in front of the organ!
It was so beautiful with all the songs we did.
We also had a woodwind, brass and percussion section playing with us!

BOTH sides of my parents were there to hear us sing!
I was so very excited they drove all the way out.
I only got a picture with my mom, but thanks you all for coming=)
Sorry this is blurry, I still think its cute.

These are my kiddos at their October performance.
School House Rock, they were
SOOO good!

This is at my dad's birthday party from Friday night, we had a game night.
Before we ate pizza Madeline said the prayer-it was so cute!
jordan and Madeline=)

and Matt helping Madeline pray!

Jennifer and Josh at the party too!

My dad is 55 this year! He decided to quit smoking. I am soo excited!!

We had fun playing the 'Buzz' game!

Mr and Mrs Carl-so cute!

All the ladies!

Jordan and his mom-by the way, jordan was in a bet
with one of his friends to see how long he would keep
his facial hair 'handlebars'...that's why those are there:

Jordan and I, we haven't had much luck getting very good pictures lately..

Saturday night, Jordan and I had a lot of fun eating
dinner together and then going to Starbucks!
We haven't gone there in a long time, and I really miss it b/c its always special.

Ok, so I hope you have a great week!
I am looking forward to the holidays and being with family and friends.
I am almost done with my Christmas shopping too-
so I can relax over the break! =)
Thanks for reading!!

My Halloween Friends are such a fright!!!!

What a busy week its been! As most of you know all last week Jordan and I had the,
yes you guessed it, Swine Flu! It was a major bummer!!! Not fun at all!
But it was kind of nice to spend that quality time with Jordan
coughing and sneezing in the bed all week....I'm just trying to look on the bright side.
Anyway, I had such a great weekend getting to spend time with family, and I cannot believe it's
already November!! Only 3 weeks to Thanksgiving Break-wow that is crazy!
By the way, my 3rd graders did AWESOME at their performance at the October PTA program!
They were so cute doing 'Schoolhouse Rock' I was so proud of them.
My 4th graders have started getting ready for their PTA program in December, it is called
'Home for the Holidays'
and it is a very fun and special musical that focuses on what's most important this Christmas season.
I am very excited for them to perform it, and they are as well!
Halloween weekend was a ton of fun!!!! We carved pumpkins on Friday night at the Carls and then
went to see the movie-This Is It! about Michael Jackson. I'm not a huge fan of him as a
person, but his songs, dance and overall musical talent fascinates me-so I very much enjoyed it.
It was SOO neat to see how that amazing show would have looked, and the musicians involved
and dancers were phenomenal!
Here are the pretty little pumpkins we carved as fast as we could to get to the movie=) lol

I'm sure you can guess which one is mine and which one is Jordan's....

Gabe and Daniel were playing some games while we were finishing up our pumpkins..

Jordan's pumpkin...kinda scary like his facial hair=)

Emma's pretty pumped about hers!!!

I did a quick 'C' on mine!

Halloween Night-on my way to my parent's church's Trunk or Treat!!
My mom was a 'Christian Rock Star' =)

They had such a cute 'trunk or treat'!!! There were a TON of kiddos too-
it was awesome

My dad was a 'Monk'..............hahaha

Josh is a 'Biore nose strip' with black heads...soooo gross, seriously.

After the trunk or treat we went to Matt & Alethea's were it was quite a sugar rush! haha
look at Peyton and Madeline and all that candy~

Peyton was Wolverine!

Madeline the 'monster' -hahaha

Alaina drove down from OK, and Alethea

Josh was also getting crazy with the kiddo's!

Me and Peyton=)

Madeline showing her blue tongue from the candy=)

they got a great pic together! I couldn't get one..I had to do it seperately.
Jordan had to study on Halloween, that's why it was just me.

That night when I got home Bella was soo tired and cute

This picture is just sooo priceless. They are so prissy-I love it=)
These little guys make me smile everyday and I'm so glad to have them!

Well that's all the pictures for now. I'm really behind on blogging with the move and the flu!
I still have to post pics from my choir concert, Alethea's bday and my PTA program,
I'll get around to it though=)
Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great week!

Comment Question: What are you looking forward to doing for Thanksgiving break??
