Easter Weekend! 2012

First, let me say a few things going on at our house right now...
I took the dogs to the new PetSmart that just opened on the
island. They shaved my babies!!!
I specifically asked them NOT to, just a cut.
Oh well, they are kind of cute. I was mortified at first though!
Zeus LOVES his new do. He acts like he
is on cloud 9 :) Bella on the other hand...
she hates her new look. haha
and this is what our house has been looking like
lately.....ugh, moving is the worst;)

And b/c of that, for Easter weekend I needed to get
away! I went to Dallas for about 5 days;) Jordan
has been studying non stop for his upcoming
Board Exam, called STEP1. There are 3 total
and this one is the first, and the hardest.
So he is a studying machine lately:)

I was so glad to get to have lunch with Lauren
when I got to Rockwall! Sawyer came too;)
She is a little cutie!!!

I went to the Good Friday service at my parents church:)
I sang with my mom in the choir, and we all went to
dinner afterwards at Mi Cocina. yum!

Saturday I hit the pool!! :)
then Jennifer and I met to get our nails done.
It was so funny b/c the lady doing our
nails did not believe we were both
pregnant..I guess b/c our bellies weren't sticking out?haha
Then she proceeded to tell us we are so lucky
b/c its the year of the Dragon-and where she comes from
that means a very lucky time to have a baby or get married.
And this year is especially lucky b/c its the Water Dragon year.
She kept going on and on, it was very interesting;)
I then asked my friend about it, and she said that
it was true-and triple lucky to have a boy this year...
so we'll see;)
Hollywood Nails at the Harbor, yes please:)
Then we ate at Ruby Tuesdays..I love their
salad bar right now!!

That night we had a family BBQ at my
parents house. It was so great to see
everyone and eat some good food!
Peyton, he sure is getting tall!

We all coordinate so well!:)

little miss Tillie is so cute!!:)

Sunday morning I went to church
with my family and then went over
to the Carls for lunch. It was so cool to
get to see their new house since they moved in!!
It looks so beautiful inside already;)
after lunch we colored eggs!
Gabe and Emma looking good;)

Then Hayden came over and opened
his Easter basket. such a little cutie!

Grandpa Dunn getting ready to play with
Gabe

My little egg to Jordan said
"We Miss You" :)

And last but not least, on Monday,
my mom and I drove to Austin
to see the house that I
"blindly" got for us!
It was my first time to see it, but
I was pleasantly surprised:)
We are living about 10miles from
downtown Austin, still in Austin city,
just a little north-and closer to
Dallas:)

bushes need some trimming, but overall
love it!
Can't wait to move in:)

Weeks 7-11

Because of my crazy schedule, my ability to sit down and blog has been quite limited. Therefore, I will be doing my blog posts about pregnancy more in chunks;)
I am keeping a separate book/blog for the baby/pregnancy
that is more detailed week by week, but I won't be showing
that one until its halfway done.
Anyway, so weeks 7-11, let's see...
I started to look for housing in Austin....that was interesting!
Taylor and I went before Spring Break and it
was quite a rude awakening for me. I had
no idea how expensive it was to live there. We
looked at over 20 houses for sale and rent...
and could not find anything we were really
comforatble with. We came back from
Austin 2 days later with no hopefuls:/

The good news is, at 7 weeks we went back to
the doctor and got another ultrasound to make sure
everything was going fine;) I get SO excited for
ultrasounds. It is so fun to get to see your little baby,
and especially this early on... that validation
that-hey, this is real!
Now, at first, I thought that big blob on the right
was the head, but actually, that's the yoke sac...
The baby's body is that smaller thing connected
to it-but it sure does look like the head right?

This was our last doctors visit with our fertility doc.
She has been so great through this whole process and
we were sad to have to leave. She has been such
a blessing in our lives, and we are so grateful for her!
She is preggo with twins, which we found out she
had 2 weeks after that visit! I'm so glad we got to
say goodbye;)

At 10 weeks we went in to see our ObGyn, and since
we were a new visit....(yay!) another ultrasound:)
haha, I feel so spoiled. I have had an u/s at
every doctors visit, so I am thrilled about that:)
Here is the little babe at 10 weeks!

The yoke sac is gone, but the picture isn't as good
b/c they did this one over the tummy, and it was
so early, its hard to make everything out.
But the baby was measuring perfectly, with a
heart rate of 150 and we
are so thankful for that.
I still haven't had any major pregnancy symptoms.
I mean, I am a little more tired than normal,
but honestly, its hard to gage that:)
I haven't had any morning sickness or food aversions,
etc. at all. And as far as cravings go....
nothing too out of the ordinary.

I had my last day at the Ronald McDonald
House of Galveston in March.
 I had been volunteering there
since last summer. I really enjoyed
being with the ladies that worked
there and being a part of such a great
organization:
they took my pic...it was early!;)

The picture is blurry, but these are the 2
wonderful ladies I worked with there!
sweet note on the door at RMH :)
Goodbye!

That weekend, I went to the beach to get some sun!! This
was the last time I went before we moved:/
I will miss that about Galveston!
Only a month until we move!

Telling the family!

I am severely behind on blog posts, and I need to catch up b/c
I would really like to post more about the pregnancy.
Its wedding season so I am pretty swamped, but
thankful for all the business.
Anyway, the week after our 1st doctor
appointment where they confirmed the pregnancy
we went to Dallas to tell our families in person;)
We got there very late on Friday, the 24th.
I had made these little shirts for the dogs
to wear to announce the pregnancy.
It was the most creative thing I could think of,
and kind of funny-haha!
When the pups came in at first they didn't get it,
but then we told them to read their shirts and
Mrs. Carl screamed! She then proceeded to hug
us and give us congrats;) Gabe and Emma
looked straight at my stomach when they found
out, it was pretty funny:) We were like
"the belly will come later...haha"
Here are the pups in their goofy outfits.
We had planned to tell my side of the family
Saturday night at bowling;)
However....
Saturday morning my parents and Josh and Jennifer
had asked me to go to breakfast with them at
Cracker Barrel. I was the only one to go b/c
Jordan was helping his parents
 move into their new house.
I got to Cracker Barrel and Josh and Jennifer
told me that they had something to tell me:
they were expecting! And their due date
was late October! I was so speechless.
I didn't know what to say! I mean, literally-
do I tell them now? Will that steal her thunder?
Jordan isn't even here with me!
So I immediately started texting Jordan what was
going on and asking him what he thought I should do.
He told me to go ahead and tell them.
I was so nervous, but I said, "Well,
its gonna be interesting in October
b/c I'll be in Austin and y'all will be
here in Dallas and we have the same
due date!"
All 4 of them went quiet. They weren't quite
sure what I was even saying...then Josh said,
"wait, what? you're due date?" I said,
"yea, we're due in October too!"
They all immediately screamed, jumped
up and we all started hugging and shedding tears.
It was such an awesome moment, one I
wish Jordan was there for, but still neat nonetheless.
I told them we were planning to share the news
at bowling tonight, but now we'll just be
telling Matt and Alethea-so to keep it a secret still;)
We wrote it on the TV score board to surprise
Matt and Alethea!;)
Everyone was so excited! 2 grand babies in one year!

the 2 preggos! both around 6 weeks!

so happy!!

congrats to them:)

with my boo. couldn't be happier;)

That night we asked Kelsey and Daniel to come
over to the Carls house so we could "see" them:)
When they got there we told them too!
PS it was almost midnight...so we were all a
little tired, esp Hayden-haha!
Can't wait for the 2 kiddos to play together;)

Happy Nana! First son's baby!

I think Hayden knows he's about to get
a new play friend cousin. ;)

Anyway, so that's our story for the family!
We made it publicly official at 12 weeks.
And we decided to make the move to Austin
for Jordan to do his 3rd and 4th year
rotations for med school. That way we
are only 3 hours from family!
Its amazing how many of my close friends I have
found out are pregnant in the next few weeks!
One of my dear friends (and med student wife)
 Elizabeth has the SAME
due date as me and Jenn and she is expecting twins!
So October is going to be crazy:)
I literally know 8 pregnant friends right now
all due this year-Yay for 2012!
God is good, and we are so blessed to share this
wonderful blessing with our friends and family:)

thanks for reading!
