2nd Baby Shower + 29 Weeks

My 2nd Baby Shower for Conrad was actually a joint shower!
Jennifer, (my sister in law) and I share the virtually the same due date!
(she is due the 26th, me the 23rd!)
And my mom's church, (Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rockwall)
was gracious enough to throw us a fun double shower!

Josh and Jennifer also go to this church now, and I went here when I
lived at home, so I knew a lot of the ladies, and we visit here a lot when we are in town.

The morning before the shower Jennifer and I went to a water aerobics class
at Chandlers Landing (boy, was that fun!;) then we treated ourselves to
pedicures at the Harbor! It was fun to do some things together as preggo's!!

Group picture with the hostesses and moms:

She's having a girl, and I'm having a boy!!

It made the decorations look really fun;)

Cute cakes!

Our moms together-don't they look so happy? :)

My gift table (and cute nursery room sign:)

Close ups:

I loved all the fun gift bags and wrapping:)

Gifts time!
So we just took turns because everyone brought 2 gifts, so I'd open
then she would open, it was so fun to see the "boy and girl versions" of all
the gifts;)

Loving all these tiny cute outfits!!

We got handmade blankets and burp cloths and knitted items-they were
all so cute and beautiful.

Love this frame Jennifer got, and the wrapping on this gift:

Excited about getting to use this tummy time play mat!

These were the burp cloths I made for Greyson-(I didn't make the onesies)
coordinating burp cloths for Halloween!

Just some fun girly prints:

Tired after opening all those gifts;) What a blessing and joy that shower was!!
And such a neat thing to get to share with Jennifer, we had a lot of fun.

Afterwards we went out to eat:

Some of Jordan's favorites;)

Adorable knitted hat I will probably be using for his newborn pics:)

I got enough money in gift cards to get our car seat!
(We chose the Chicco Keyfit Romantic)
The stroller caddy I got from my first shower-so its all complete now;)
And yes, that is Bella in the bottom basket...yeesh.

When I got home that weekend I laid everything out so Jordan
could see everything from the shower!

Close up of everything in the crib:

Such a blessing to be so close to Dallas and have good family and friends that
are supporting us and blessing us in a such a great way!! Conrad is already so loved:)

wrapping up April>

Lots has been going on, so let me see if I can catch everything up to speed (or a lot of it)
in this blog post....
starting with:
Lakeview Church

Jordan and I have been leading worship together for over 7 years. I say
leading worship 'together', but really it's all Jordan. I just
ride in the car with him to and from-make sure his guitar gets unpacked,
copies of the songs are made, and he has plenty of coffee and water
at his fingertips=) hehe. I guess I'm more like the 'roadie', but I still
like to say that we do it 'together' b/c we do do it technically
together=) I hope that made sense! Wow, what a ramble..
Anyway, the last Sunday in May was our last time to lead worship in
Sunday morning service. We have SO enjoyed our time and been blessed by
the people at Lakeviw Community Church-who have been much more than a
community to us, they have been more like a great big family! We
met so many great godly people there, we will miss them very much!!
these are just some shots taken from our last Sunday there...

They have a quilter's group of ladies at this church, and let me just say-these ladies GOT SKILLS!
They are amazing at quilts and FAST! =)
They always make one when someone has a baby...and I always have coveted them.
haha-I know-terrible, but I admit it! I am so nostalgic, I just love that
kind of stuff, and I love quilts, so it was a double whammy!
Anyway, they were SO very sweet and they made us a 'going away quilt'!
It is BEAUTIFUL!!! And it will look great in our Galveston home-
a great way to remember them.

Oh, Im making a face at Jordan b/c he felt like the quilt was really
a gift for 'me'=) lol. He was just joking though-he really does like it
and will equally cherish it.

So the next Sunday was Easter-and for the first time in I can't even remember
we got to go to church with MY parents! It was really a blessing to get to
go and worship with them. My brother Josh and Jennifer-also go to this church
so we got to spend it with them as well.

=)

Josh and Jennifer after church

then we went over tot he Carls for lunch and we got to Skype with
the Landers ! (I guess that's what we'll be doing next year =(

haha-looks like Jayce and Grace are doing well!!! =)

Apparently I really like taking single shots of Jordan with Gabe and Emma
maybe I should start just having them take it with both of them in the picture..

then I had my April PTA program at school-it was called BUGZ!
and the kiddos were super cute! I loved their costumes, they turned out well!!

This song is 'Firefly' notice the lighting effect=) They were awesome!
2nd grade by the way...

Then I had my last concert for the choir that I was in:
Arlington Master Chorale
that same week! We did the Mozart Requiem-it was very powerful,
and a great experience. I really enjoyed singing with this choir this year.
I hope to find one in Galveston !!!

And then the last saturday in April (I guess to round out the incredibly music-filled
month!) Jordan had the opportunity to play at his cousin Ben's church
Lakeridge for their Saturday night service!
He played the electric which was a nice relaxing change for him=)

they played really well. I enjoyed getting to listen and sing along.
I am currently working on making a DVD of Jordan and all
the music stuff he's done, but I am just scrambling around for time....=)
I will get it done this summer though-that is my goal!

winter festivities!

Since I can't find my camera cord to upload the pictures from the snow....
I guess I will upload these pictures from a while back:
We had a paint day at church a few Saturday's ago to get rid of
some graffiti the youth had put on the walls over the years, and
also just to freshen up some of the Sunday School rooms:

Joey (our drummer) had put this paint on the wall when he was in HS there!

That same weekend we had a wedding to go to (one of Jordan's friends from DBU)
and this time JORDAN was the one in the wedding!!!
it was so nice to not have to worry about all the extra stuff and just go and enjoy=)

Me about to head to the Rehearsal Dinner-I took a pic b/c it was the first time
I could just show up to the dinner part and didn't have to go to the rehearsal! lol
The picture next to that is their stunning guest table-LOVE the handmade book!!

Instead of favors, they donated Bibles to the Armed Forces.
There were different Bibles for each branch of the military,
and inside the Bible was a place to write a note to one of the soldiers.
I LOVE this idea!!!!

Waiting for the Bride and Groom at the reception=)
Look at Jordan in his pink-how stunning!!

They had this neat art on the wall-very nice.

There is the newlywed couple-Matt and Ivy! And Jordan and I at our table.
The next day Bella and Zeus got special Valentine's grooms-what was special you might
ask? Just the fact that they hadn't been groomed in over 2 months and they got
Valentine's bows and bandana's-which lasted all of about 5 minutes.

Look at them posing....the only way I got them to sit still was with treats=)

She's focusing hard on the treat setting right above the camera lense.
but I still love this picture-she is sooo cute!

Treats:work wonders.
hope you got some yummy treats for Valentine's Day! I bought myself some really good
chocolate-so now I better make sure I work out!
I got back from my TMEA (TExas Music Educators Association) conference
that was in San Antonio on Saturday night. (Jordan came and picked me up).
It was quite a blast! I got to see a ton of old friends from DBU there-teachers and
student teachers-and go to a lot of fun and informative workshops.
The only downside of being out of town was I missed the huge snowstorm on Thursday!
OK, I know it wasn't a 'storm' but it stinks I missed all the snow!!
And as far as Valentine's goes-b/c of the snow and closing of schools Friday-Jordan's
test got moved to Monday, so we didn't get to celebrate. Apparently we are going
to celebrate this weekend.....<3
I did get a few pictures on Sunday morning when we got back, and when I find
my cord I will post them!! =)
