selling our condo..update

Here is the invite information for our upcoming concert with the choir I am in for next week!!!

NEW UPDATE:
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR SITUATION WITH THE HOUSE SELLING. THERE IS A 'NEW' BUMP IN THE ROAD FOR US DEALING WITH THE SALE, AND JUST PRAY IT GETS RESOLVED IN A GOOD WAY, AND THAT THIS STILL GOES THROUGH!!!
I will keep you updated on what happens...

Post from before starts here:
I haven't blogged in a while b/c we really have been so busy with school and this 'selling the house' ordeal that I haven't been in the mood to blog.
Well, as you know from my last blog entry, I said we were moving this weekend and closing on our house on Monday, the 28th...
That is not the case. We are still going to sell the house, we just had to move the closing date. The buyer needed more time to get their 'funds' together so they moved it to October 8th. Which is good and bad. I was worried the apartment we put our deposit down on wouldn't hold through then, but they were soo very gracious and did allow us to do that! So now we are planning to move out on the 9th, and 10th. We have to be OUT in 48 hours so we'll have to get it in gear!!
We had a big group of guys that were nice enough to help us move when it was this weekend, we hope they're still available on the 9-10th.
I haven't really packed anything else up other than 'storage' stuff and things on the walls...so I guess I'll start doing that next week.
I have my 'observation' at school next week (which is basically where they 'evaluate' the teacher for the year by staying in the classroom to 'observe' for 45 minutes. I always get REALLY nervous before hand, but then after it is done it is SUCH a relief to have it over with!! I will let everyone know how it goes-hopefully my kids will be on their best behavior-and me too!! haha, j/k. My third graders are learning their program very well! They are excited about it and doing a great job!! It's really getting down to the wire though-we have about 2 weeks left to learn it!
I know they will do awesome though, can't wait!!
Oh yea, and Gabe's birthday was a couple weeks ago. It was so fun to go to Babe's Chicken with the fam and then see Cloudy with a chance of meatballs! Very cute movie=) Gabe broke his arm a couple weeks before that so our previous 'party' plans for him had to be altered. But we had a lot of fun anyway! i haven pictures, but my camera is dead so I'll have to add them after it is charged.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

new apartment in arlington...

Our internet has been out for the past 3 days now, but thankfully Jordan has figures out a way for me to do internet tethering on my iphone (gotta love those handy things) so here I am getting to use my computer for a little bit!!
I wanted to update everyone on our situation (people got confused when I was posting things on facebook..)
Jordan and I had our condo up for sale, and someone put in an offer for it (which we took) last week. They had the inspector come yesterday and we're closing on Sept 28th!
We are moving to Arlington b/c Jordan is in that Master's program, and its all the way in Forth Worth. He's having to drive an hour there and back, sometimes 2-3x's a day. That's why we chose Arlington-its a good 'half way' point between where I work in Grand Prairie and then his school (without getting too far away from our friends and family!)
Yesterday my mom was nice enough to go apartment shopping with me!! (Jordan was studying and I wouldn't have wanted him for that anyway, he HATES shopping-any form of it=)
We looked and/or called 7 different places! And the first one we went to ended up being the best deal, so Jordan met me up there later in the day and we put down a deposit-since we're moving in 2 weeks!
Its a really nice place, very cute-and they were running great specials-so we got an awesome deal! Its a huge 2bedroom 2bath with a balcony. They have big walk in closets and big spacious rooms. I like the accent walls (they provide those in the colors you want free!) and they also have a little doggie park! I can take Zeus and Bella off their leash and let them run around=) haha. Its off of Collins and I-20. I do not like posting picture-less blogs, so I had to find some pictures of this place to give people an idea of where we're living! A lot of you that read this are out of town anyway, so its nice to have a visual.
I will of COURSE post more pictures when we actually move in and I put our stuff in it.
There aren't pictures of the Master Bathroom, closets, balcony or the laundry room, but I figured this was enough, lol=)
Our floorplan is called the Magnolia...These are the 'stock' photo's on their website:

We are sad to leave our condo. It was our first purchase as a married couple and pretty much the first place we've lived for most of our marriage (since the other apt was only for 6 months). We've really enjoyed it there, and its where Zeus and Bella 'grew up' basically (don't laugh!) so it will be sad to see it go. Although there will be some things we won't miss about it, I'm sure most of you know what its like leaving your first 'home'.
But its not like I have a whole lot of time to think about it-I've already started packing things up! I only have this week and we're moving next weekend (the 26th)!
Hope everyone had a great rainy weekend....=)

goodbye august!

So, here are some things that have been going on with me since school started last Monday! I can't believe tomorrow will conclude the 2nd week of school already!! wow, time flies!!
Over the weekend I went over to the Carl's house and saw them for a little bit-they were doing all kinds of funny stuff in the backyard, it was fun! I can't wait to see my side of the family this weekend for labor day=)

Here is Kelsey and Emma at Brooklyn's pizza place!!

Emma jumping off the play structure in the backyard, and me hoping Jordan does catch her! She was all the way up on the top of that ladder type thing...he did though-don't worry=)
Then he was experimenting with his strength with Gabe....ha, this one always makes me laugh.

The Carl's wanted to clean out their garage, so Jordan and his mom were going over some things he 'left behind' =)

They were playing with a butterfly (that girl is a neighbor friend down the street)

And they caught a lizard!! When I was little a lizard would have scared me...they still do scare me when they scurry around on the ground as I'm walking to my house, lol.
This first one of Emma makes me laugh!!

I recently auditioned and joined the AMC (Arlington Master Chorale) with some of my other music teacher friends in Grand Prairie and Arlington. Its fun to get to go sing on the professional level again, and spend some time with the girls! (It is a full SATB choir, however, I'm surrounded by girls in the soprano section! And my friends in there happen to sing my part and we get to sit next to each other=) I go every Monday night.
We will be performing a couple times this fall season and once in the Spring. I will let yall know about the concerts once it gets closer in case someone wants to come!

I just thought about the fact that most of you have never seen my school! This is what the front looks like, its so pretty and new!!
And this is the musical program I am currently working on with my 3rd graders! It's called School House Rock! And its going to be sooo cute when they kids perform! (no, these are not my kids, but I am a picture person, I like to have examples to give people an idea=) So this is just an example of someone else's set that put on this show.
We will perform in October, and it will not only be the first musical production at Williams Elementary, it will also be my first time to put together a show! I'm nervous, and excited at the same time, b/c I know our kids will be great=)

As far as everything else..we are still trying to sell our house, we've had an offer, but I'm not sure its going to work out. It would be nice though, b/c Jordan's drive to Fort Worth every morning and afternoon is really wearing on him. As much as we don't want to move further away from our family, it would be very helpful if we were in somewhere like Grand Prairie or Arlington, so Ill keep you updated.
And Bella's leg/knee is still hurting her, however, she seems better. We are not sure about surgery with her yet or not. I do want to start up her training again though, I really miss doing it, and she needs the exercise.
So that's everything for us right now.

Oh ya, one last thing-this is a MAJOR blessing from the Lord and we were so taken aback at His tremendous blessing in this area: At our church, (where Jordan is the worship leader) they were having budget problems, and they were going to cut back on a lot of things, including his salary. This was going to hurt us, esp. since he just started that Masters program and had to quit his other job. We had been praying about how we would adjust if this went through (since they said it would be a few weeks before it all was approved). Anyway, after the meeting Sunday about the budget, apparently someone donated the amount that covered the budget deficit! It was very amazing! I cannot express how great it is to be a child of God, living under His will, and getting to experience the great blessings of His provision in our lives. He truly is an amazing Creator and Father.
I just wanted to tell that story b/c it really spoke to me this week as to how loving our Lord is.
